Conservapedia Part II!

I really can’t get enough of Conservapedia.  I guess maybe this will be “Conservapedia Week” for my blog because there is just too much great information for me to report it all in just the one post I put up yesterday.
Apparently the one thing that is really setting Conservapedia apart from other less conservative encyclopedia’s [...]

Conservapedia!

I know a lot of people are used to relying upon Wikipedia for all their encyclopedia needs, but there is a new kid on the block. Conservapedia!!!
Conservapedia brings you the same information but without any liberal bias. They even call it “The Trustworthy Encyclopedia” so you know it’s a one-stop shop for all [...]

Rick Reilly on Michael Jordan’s Hall of Fame speech

This post is really about Rick Reilly’s reaction to Michael Jordan’s Hall of Fame speech, and not so much about the speech itself.
Every once in awhile I like to torture myself by reading a piece written by Reilly.  Rick Reilly of course used to write the back page article for Sports Illustrated, and now writes [...]

A dinner with Sarah Palin up for grabs

A dinner with Sarah Palin is up for grabs on eBay.  The starting price was $25,000, and I’m projecting a winning bid of $124,400 for the chance to spend up to 4 hours eating with Palin, however, at the moment the leading bid is at $38,000.

I have to say I’m kind of happy about [...]

Why your mother may not like you….

After reading a story in Time today I learned one very important thing – I must have been a handsome baby.
According to a study conducted by McLean Hospital and published in the medical journal ‘Plos One‘ a mother’s love is partially dependent on how attractive their baby is.   The study had small groups of men [...]

Woman fined 1.9 million for illegally downloading bad music

A federal jury recently found Jammie Thomas-Rasset guilty of illegally downloading music from the internet and fined her a total of 1.9 million.  She only downloaded 24 songs, which means she was charged $80,000 for each song that she could buy on iTunes for 99 cents.
The music she was guilty of downloading included No Doubt, [...]

BING!

I’m not sure ‘Bing’ was the right name for Microsoft’s new search engine.  I don’t have a better suggestion, but nothing about the name makes me think it’s going to take the world by storm.  However, it could be that Google is so imprinted in my mind that nothing else can compare at this point.
For [...]
