Rick Reilly on Michael Jordan’s Hall of Fame speech

This post is really about Rick Reilly’s reaction to Michael Jordan’s Hall of Fame speech, and not so much about the speech itself.
Every once in awhile I like to torture myself by reading a piece written by Reilly.  Rick Reilly of course used to write the back page article for Sports Illustrated, and now writes [...]

A dinner with Sarah Palin up for grabs

A dinner with Sarah Palin is up for grabs on eBay.  The starting price was $25,000, and I’m projecting a winning bid of $124,400 for the chance to spend up to 4 hours eating with Palin, however, at the moment the leading bid is at $38,000.
In addition to a background check, if you’re lucky enough [...]

Palin retires and other observations from the past week….

This is Part II from my previous post.   Since I was away for a week I thought it would be easier on the eyes to break down the posts into 2 segments.
This is Part II:
Sarah Palin retired.  This would normally be exciting news, but it’s made my favorite radio personalities Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity [...]

Internet fails in the wake of Jackson’s death

Human See, Human Do hasn’t really been following the death of Michael Jackson that closely, but since it’s such a monumental news story it hardly seemed right that I didn’t at least post something.  So, this more or less sums up what I’ve learned in the last day or so.
Michael Jackson dying was bad news [...]

Palin and John Kerry exchange jokes!

First John Kerry came out with a joke about Sarah Palin, and now it’s Sarah Palin’s turn to respond.
The whole affair got started when Kerry stated that, “[t]oo bad if a governor had to go missing it couldn’t have been the governor of Alaska.  You know, Sarah Palin.”
Not bad, a pretty good shot, a little [...]

A federal jury recently found Jammie Thomas-Rasset guilty of illegally downloading music from the internet and fined her a total of 1.9 million.  She only downloaded 24 songs, which means she was charged $80,000 for each song that she could buy on iTunes for 99 cents.
The music she was guilty of downloading included No Doubt, [...]

Joaquin Phoenix’s Crazy Antics…and my hopes for his next appearance on Letterman

I think by now most people have seen, or at least read about Joaquin Phoenix’s burgeoning hip-hop career.  In another controversial performance Phoenix jumped into a crowd in Miami to confront a heckler.  The exchange between the two apparently culminated with Phoenix telling the individual, “I have a million bucks in the bank, what do [...]

Obama ticks off Lindsay Lohan’s father

This is probably a bad move.  I imagine that Lindsay Lohan’s father can really change the whole landscape of an election with the power of his words.  Once he supports a candidate you can probably count on millions of people following his lead…..
From fair and balanced Fox News:
According to the Chicago Sun-Times, LiLo wanted to [...]
